Hard Times Skate Shop, a Portsmouth-based business, has been cornerstone of the city’s skateboarding community since opening in the Cradock section on June 7, 2012.  After operating in a shared space in the Olde Towne section of Portsmouth, we’re excited to establish our own permanent location at 4361 Portsmouth Blvd, where we will continue our mission of promoting skateboarding culture and serving our community

For over a decade, we’ve provided top-quality skateboards, apparel, and footwear while creating a welcoming environment for skateboarders of all ages and skill levels.  As a locally-owned business, we are passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion, offering a safe space for local youth and empowering the next generation of skateboarders/creatives.

Through events like Hard Times Go Sk8 Daze and regular engagement with the skateboarding community, we bring the excitement and culture of skateboarding to life in Portsmouth.  Our commitment to youth empowerment, local collaboration, and cultural celebration is what drives us forward. We continue to expand opportunities for both beginner and seasoned skaters.
